3 Tips to Avoid Bubbles in Nail Polish
It must have happened to you before. Beautifully polished nails, you even managed not to ruin them with reckless movement while the varnish was still wet. And suddenly, after a few hours, you see tiny bubbles on your nails. How did they get there?
As we have already explained, nail polish dries by evaporation of some of its components, which ensure a homogeneous mixture. If you apply layers that are too thick or do not allow enough time between application of the layers for them to dry and harden properly, these components will not be able to evaporate and will remain in the form of small air bubbles trapped in the forming color film that remains on the nail plate.
Bubbles may be the result of excessive shaking of the bottle before painting. Before applying the nail polish, it is advisable to mix the contents of the bottle, especially if you reach for a given shade after a longer period of time. However, excessive shaking will cause air to get incorporated in the liquid nail polish in the form of small bubbles and you will then unknowingly apply them during painting. Instead of shaking the bottle up and down, gently roll it in both hands to mix the contents without creating air bubbles.
